How to access the Comparative Pathology Workbench using the 'guest' account

There is a “guest” user account available on the Comparative Pathology Workbench. The purpose of this account is to demonstrate the basic functionality of the Workbench.

Please contact the Administrator for the “guest” credentials.

Restrictions on the Guest Account

There is only 1 guest account – other users may have access to the guest account at the same time as you! Therefore, it is NOT guaranteed that anything you do while using the guest account will be preserved until you next access the account.

If you require further access to the Workbench, contact the Administrator for instructions on creating your own account.

You may decide to run your own instance of the Workbench on your own IT infrastructure. All the code is publicly available on Github. The Administrator and development team are willing to provide you with advice and assistance to support you should you decide to do this.

Functionality available to the Guest Account

• The guest account can create (no more than 10), amend and delete Collections and Benches.
• The guest account can create and update commentary for a Bench, or cell within a Bench.
• The guest account can only view the IDR as a source of images.
• The guest account cannot see any other Workbench users’ data.
• The guest account cannot share any Benches or Collections with other Workbench users.
